The Shires are the biggest selling UK country act of all time. And we’re delighted to welcome them back to Gawsworth after their triumphant sell-out debut on the theatre lawn last summer.

The duo – Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes – were discovered seven years ago, playing a gig in a Bedfordshire pub, and have since amassed a legion of fans on both sides of the Atlantic.

Their debut album Brave became the first British country album to enter the UK Top Ten. While their follow-up, My Universe, became the fastest selling British Country album of all time, reaching the top three in the UK Charts.

Their third offering, the Nashville recorded Accidentally on Purpose, won over a whole new audience thanks to its fusion of country with more mainsteam pop, and again reached the top three of the UK charts.

Their success has seen them win multiple awards, become one of the most talked about acts in the home of country music, and work with legendary songwriters including Ed Sheeran.

This year sees them release their fourth album, Good Years.

(No Children under six years old may attend performances.)
